2. Apply glue to the front cover of the notebook
3. Lay piece of scrapbook paper on top of glue
4. Cut away excess paper from notebook cover
5. Measure width of the notebook
6. Cut out small rectangle out of scrapbook paper as wide as notebook width and as tall as you like
7. Tear rectangle in half (if the back of the paper is facing you when you tear it, it looks better in my opinion)
8. Choose one half of the rectangle and glue it at the base of the notebook cover
9. Next take a piece of solid colored paper and cut out a business card size piece
10. Glue the piece of solid colored paper in the middle of the torn rectangle
11. Take a piece of white paper a bit smaller than the solid colored paper and glue it on top of the last business card size paper
12. Now take a marker and write smash book on the white paper, be creative, use upper and lower case and several different fonts. This shows that the book is a compilation of many things
13. If you divided your book into sections like me, for each section you glue a piece of scrapbook paper onto the dividing pages and cut off excess (if you didn't divide yours, you're done)
14. Now measure the length of your notebook going up the side
15. Using this measurement, cut out another rectangle as wide as you like and as long as the notebook
16. Tear it long ways down the center like you did for the cover
17. Glue one of the torn halves to the right side of the page
18. Now make a tag like you did for the front but this time write the name of the category instead of smash book
19. Continue steps 13-18 for the rest of your dividers
20. Enjoy your new smash book!
